Jan. 24, 2011: I recently auditioned for and was invited to be the new regular drummer for the Brooklyn-based band “Mamarazzi.” We are already setting show dates for the coming Spring and will be very active in NYC and Boston. This gypsy-funk-hip-hop group already has a very strong following and the ultimate in feel-good and make-you-move-yo-body musicality. We are tightening up and looking forward to this new collaboration of Mamarazzi. Check us out!

Dec. 27, 2010: I had the unique opportunity of playing with the New York Jazz Academy Big Band I in Carnegie Hall on 12-26-10 in the midst of one of the biggest snow storms in NYC history. It was an amazing and exciting experience. Stay tuned for an original documentary on my experience on “The Road to Carnegie” to be released soon!

April 30, 2011: I’ve been invited to score the music for a production of the popular Arthur Miller play “The Crucible.” This play is about the Salem witch trials in New England and the music I’m writing is primarily drum-based. The instrumentation is 3 percussionists, flute, piano, violin and viola. I’ll be recording the score soon, so stay tuned for that.
